Simple pleasures!

With enforced lockdown all around the world, many of us are rediscovering the pleasures of the simple things in life. In Lens Artists Challenge # 91, Patti challenged us to show what simplicity means to us.

IMG_2508 (2)One of my favourite things is watching birds doing what birds do. And who doesn’t love to soak in a bath. So what could be better than to find this young bush robin having it’s morning bath in the garden. The water was cold and a bit murky but good enough for a robin.

Children know how to find fun in simple things. Remember how much fun your kids had with a cardboard box?  Chasing bubbles at her Nana’s place is the best fun for this wee girl in a pink onsie.

We have the perfect opportunity now in lockdown to sit and contemplate the meaning of life. You don’t need a view like this but it certainly helps you see the big picture.

We’ve been confined to our bubbles for 2 1/2 weeks now and it seems to be working. The number of C19 cases drops every day. It looks like we might be winning but we’re in a marathon, not a sprint. We can’t give up now.

What seems simple from a distance can be much more complex up close.

Thank you Patti for this opportunity. Stay safe everyone.

  1. I love your last statement, how what seems simple from a distance is much more complex up close. I missed this week’s challenge because everything I thought of using as an example of simplicity was really complex, so I can relate!
