These photographs, taken by Manawahe Kokako Trust volunteer John Sherriff, show some of the bird catching and transmitter attaching process. Our catchers, Dave and Amanda were ably assisted very early on frosty mornings by our volunteers, average age 70. Action keeps you young it seems.
Great stuff, Wendy. One of our highlights was hearing and seeing so many birds on our trip. One even sounded like a Tui which brought a smile to our faces. Luckily not many crows to be heard!

Thanks Sue. We’re in Canada and there are crows and ravens everywhere. Caw caw!
