There has been a resident pair of paradise ducks at each end of the farm for as long as we’ve been here. Perhaps these are the same ones or their descendants. The female has a white head and unusually among birds is the most attractively coloured of the pair. Pairs can stay together for some years and they both rear the young. It’s common to see family groups in the summer.
