Mangaweka magic.

Mangaweka is one of our car charging stops on the way to Wellington. It’s a small township on State Highway One in the central North Island with a population of less than 200. Usually we stop for a few minutes at the charger outside the cafe on the main road and move on but on our last trip we wandered into the township, less than 100 meters away across the highway. What a surprise it was.

The historic main street shows it’s age but the growing artists’ community is preserving and adding to the old buildings
