Meet the Residents: Australian Emerald Dragonfly – Hemicordulia australiae

In summer we are often bombarded with dragonflies. It’s when I wear a hat in the garden because curly hair is a very effective dragonfly trap. They also often get stuck behind a window and I go through all kinds of acrobatics getting them out again. I no longer catch them and put them out after one particularly ungrateful monster bit me.

Procreation on the wing must be a challenge.
