What am I doing here?

Well, I started this blog to find out about blogging and it seems the best way to find out about blogging is to start a blog. I didn’t have a plan and consequently I didn’t have a name organised (obvious when you read it really) and I have no idea what I’m going to post so this is where I apologise because I’m just going to wing it.
My lifestyle is a little different from most and I guess someone out there in the blogosphere might be as interested in it as I am. But you know what they say – pride cometh before a fall!
I live in a mostly finished log house in a clearing in the bush, off the grid but not entirely isolated from civilisation. Mortgages still need to be paid so jobs out in the world are sometimes essential. Right now I am being serenaded by kokako (yea, cool ay) and the view out my window is of a bush covered ridge hung with curtains of mist. Did I mention that I like to think I could be a writer?  More pride. I am in for quite a landing!
Some things I like are: gardening,  reading, walking, travel in NZ and NZ flora and fauna. I have worked for years in education with kids and adults and have an opinion about everything. And the world is just so darn fascinating, isn’t it? So, if I haven’t completely turned you off, come on in, hang out. I look forward to getting to know you better.

  1. Wendy, the big part of blogging is connecting with other bloggers, and I am sure you will find other like-minded people who share your passions. Spending time commenting on other blogs is even more important than writing up your own. This is what I have found as I have only been blogging since last December. Lots of writers who are also bloggers who will give you lots of advice if you want it. Have fun blogging 🙂
